An A4 risograph print of a butterfly with green and yellow wings full of flowers, on a soft pink background. The wings contain daisies with white and blue centers and graceful swirls. This print is nice on its own, but also pairs well with the other butterflies in this series!
The risograph printing technique creates vibrant colors and a fine texture on the paper. Small shifts in the print are characteristic of risograph printing and make every poster slightly different. The colors overlap, creating new shades such as orange, green, and purple, which makes the whole extra lively. This print was produced using three colors: fluorescent pink, yellow, and aqua blue.
The poster is A4 size (29.7 x 21 cm) and printed on 300-gram Biotop paper in my small and lovely illustration studio in Utrecht :)

For every print, I use a Japanese printing technique called riso printing. This technique uses eco-friendly, rice-based ink, resulting in the fluorescent and bright hues that bring the prints to life. Because each color is a separate layer that passes through the riso printer, every print has its own unique texture and character, making each print original. It is a sustainable and unique way of printing.
