Bring some extra warmth to the holidays with this cheerful, handmade risoprint Christmas card in the shape of a cozy Christmas house!
The card folds out, revealing a cheerful, colorful illustration of a cozy little house with a Christmas tree, presents, and a warm wood-burning stove inside.
This Christmas card is printed in a limited edition of only 200, so there aren't many of them! The cards are printed on sturdy 300-gram biotope paper and come with an envelope. When folded, the card is slightly larger than A6 size. It's a lovely card to send with some space on the back for your personal wishes, but you can also display it as a cheerful Christmas decoration.
Each card is printed on a risograph printer, so no two cards are exactly alike (this can also mean that they sometimes differ slightly from the photo, due to small shifts, so keep that in mind!).
Riso christmas card colorful house
For each print, I use a Japanese printing technique called riso printing. This technique uses environmentally friendly, rice-based ink, resulting in fluorescent and vibrant hues that bring the prints to life. Because each color is a separate layer that passes through the riso printer, each print has its own unique texture and character, making each print original. It's a sustainable and unique printing method.
One of the characteristics of riso prints is that they never dry completely. They always remain slightly wet, but fortunately, they don't smudge unless you rub them. So be careful when handling riso prints. If the print does smudge, you can remove the riso ink with an eraser.
