This print is an A3-sized risograph print featuring a neon pink image of a 'celestial body' or meteorite shooting through a night sky. Inspired by an experiment with abstraction, and based on how we are all different yet still possess beauty within us.
This limited-edition print was created using 4 bright riso colors, namely: aqua blue, yellow, black, and neon pink. Only 40 prints were made in total, and each print is a unique version.
Riso print A3 meteorite
For every print, I use a Japanese printing technique called riso printing. This technique uses an eco-friendly, rice-based ink, resulting in the fluorescent and cheerful hues that bring the prints to life. Because each color is a separate layer that passes through the riso printer, the layer sometimes shifts, giving each print its own unique texture and character, making every print original and just a little bit different. It is a sustainable and unique way of printing.
