Square Tamagotchi illustration riso print
This 15x15 cm riso print with a nostalgic, colorful illustration of Tamagotchi. Toys that were played with a lot in the past and I also have fond memories of. The print also has the text 'I'll take care of you', which makes it a nice gift for a loved one :)
For each print I use a Japanese printing technique called riso printing. This technique uses an environmentally friendly and rice-based ink which results in the fluorescent and cheerful hues that bring the prints to life. Because each color is a separate layer that goes through the riso printer, the layer sometimes shifts and each print has its own unique texture and character, making each print original and just a little bit different. It is a sustainable and unique way of printing
