Are you curious about riso printing and do you want to discover for yourself how this cheerful and analog printing technique works? Then join this creative and relaxed beginner's workshop at Studio Misprint in Utrecht. This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with riso printing, without needing any prior experience. During the workshop, you will learn step-by-step how the riso printer works, with a focus on the illustrative and playful side of the process. You don't need to prepare anything, but you are welcome to do so if you wish! What will we be doing? We will be working entirely analogically with: • Collage or illustration: Work with markers or old magazines and cutting and tearing techniques to create a fun print in A3 format. • Analog scanning techniques: We will use the scanner of the riso printer to convert your design into a graphic print. • Two-layer riso print: Choose two cheerful colors yourself (you have a choice of 9 colors: red, fluorescent pink, aqua blue, medium blue, green, orange, yellow, black, and teal!) and discover how layers and textures combine to create a beautiful and colorful effect. You don't need digital media or laptops; everything is made by hand! And you don't have to be an experienced illustrator to go home with a beautiful end result. These workshops are suitable for everyone :) What do you get? ✨ 10 A3 prints of your own riso print, printed on Biotop paper ✨ A scanned version of your print (handy for digital use or sharing online) (this is assuming the workshop doesn't run over!) ✨ Personal guidance and step-by-step explanation of riso printing ✨ Coffee cookies, drinks, and a veeeery cozy atmosphere in the center of Utrecht ✨ Background music coming from a nice old record player ;) This riso print workshop lasts a total of 3 hours. You can also book a private workshop on request if you prefer to print with a group of friends, your company, or all by yourself! The standard price for the workshop is €50. As a student (or if you have a low income), you receive a discount and pay €45. You can also pay with the U-pas; in that case, you first pay a €15 deposit (as a guarantee that you will actually attend) and the rest with the U-pas. Please check the FAQ for details.
