Are you curious about riso printing and want to discover how this fun, analog printing technique works? Then join this creative and relaxed beginners' workshop at Studio Misprint in Utrecht. This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with riso printing, without any prior experience required. During the workshop, you'll learn step-by-step how the riso printer works, focusing on the illustrative and playful aspects of the process. You don't need to prepare anything, but you're welcome to! What will we do? We'll work entirely analogously with: • Collage or illustration: Work with markers or old magazines and cutting and tearing techniques to create a fun A3-sized print. • Analog scanning techniques: We'll use the riso printer's scanner to convert your design into a graphic print. • Two-layer riso print: Choose two bright colors (you can choose from 9 colors: red, fluorescent pink, aqua blue, medium blue, green, orange, yellow, black, and teal!) and discover how layers and textures combine to create a beautiful and colorful effect. You don't need any digital media or laptops; everything is created by hand! And you don't have to be an experienced illustrator to go home with a beautiful end result. These workshops are suitable for everyone :) What do you get? ✨ 10 A3 prints of your own riso print, printed on Biotop paper ✨ A scanned version of your print (handy for digital use or sharing online) (this is if the workshop doesn't run overtime!) ✨ Personal guidance and step-by-step instructions on riso printing ✨ Small snacks and drinks, and a very cozy atmosphere in the center of Utrecht ✨ Background music playing from a nice old record player ;) This riso print workshop lasts a total of 3 hours. You can also book a private workshop upon request if you'd prefer to print with a group of friends, your company, or all by yourself! The regular price for the workshop is €50. Students (or those on a low income) receive a discount, paying €45. You can also pay with your U-pas (U-pass). You'll first pay a €15 deposit (to guarantee your attendance) and then the rest with your U-pas. Check the FAQ for more information. I hope to see you in the studio soon.
