Dive deeper into riso printing with this digital (but studio-based!), creative riso print course in Utrecht, perfect for those who would like to gain more knowledge about riso printing. Are you interested in riso printing and would you like to improve your own prints? Then you can sign up here for the next step in your riso printing process in this course in Utrecht. In this course, you will learn more Riso techniques such as CMYK printing, raster adjustments, and color blending. The course consists of 4 lessons, each lasting 3 hours, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. In the first two lessons, we will get started with a two-color print, where you will make a number of prints of your own illustration. In the last two lessons, we will work with 3 to 4 colors, where we will also discuss how to print a photo as accurately as possible using the riso printer, for example. This course is technical, but also free, playful, and experimental. In this course, you will learn: • How to create an illustration with the riso printing technique in mind • How to digitally separate colors to make it suitable for riso printing • How to send a PDF to the riso printer and how to configure it in multiple ways • How to mix different riso inks (you have a choice of 9 colors!) and experiment with the results What do you need? • A laptop or tablet with Procreate, Photoshop, or Affinity (basic knowledge is essential! This includes knowledge of layers, opacity, selecting, sizing, and exporting) • A little basic knowledge of riso printing is nice but not a must • Enough creativity and a desire to experiment with riso printing! So, from setting up your design to printing your final work, this course offers more knowledge about the possibilities of the riso printer. At the end of the course, you will receive all the experiments you conducted during the lessons, as well as a beautiful final edition of 15 official prints on 300 g/r Biotop paper, which we will number and sign. In total, you will receive: • An edition of 15 riso prints on 250 g/r Biotop paper • 5 riso masters per lesson to experiment with • 10 sheets of 90 g/r Biotop paper per lesson to experiment with • All color swatches for the riso printer • A whole lot of useful riso knowledge & guidance The course is on June 13, June 20, July 4, and July 11.
