Recycled paper riso print kerstballen

An experiment that resulted in very nice, colored, paper Christmas baubels! These Christmas baubels  are made from old and 'failed' riso test prints. These were used to match riso print ink colors and are often printed with many random layers on top of each other. In order not to have to throw these away, this year nice, colorful riso Christmas balls were made. Super cheerful and a unique addition to the Christmas tree.
 Each of these risograph Christmas decorations is completely unique and composed of various recycled riso prints. If you order, you will probably not receive exactly the same as in the photo, but one in the same shape.

 What is Riso Printing?
 For each print I use a Japanese printing technique called riso printing. This technique uses environmentally friendly and rice-based ink which results in the fluorescent and bright hues that bring the prints to life.” Because each color is a separate layer that goes through the riso printer, each print has its own unique texture and character, making each print original. It is a sustainable and unique way of printing

 How do you care for Riso?
 One of the characteristics of riso prints is that they never dry completely. They always remain a little wet, but fortunately they do not smudge unless you really rub over the print. So be careful when handling the riso prints. If the print does show smudges, you can remove the riso ink with an eraser.
