Create your own riso birthday calendar! Are you curious how to create a unique and colorful birthday calendar with riso printing, illustration, and collage? Then join this creative and playful workshop at Studio Misprint in Utrecht. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about riso printing and design your own personalized calendar at the same time. You don't need much experience, although a little riso knowledge is helpful. During the workshop, you'll learn step-by-step how riso printing works and get started with collage and illustration. You don't need to prepare anything, but you're welcome to! You're also welcome to bring your own images, inspiration, and materials if you'd like. What will we do? We'll work completely analogously with: - Collage and illustration: Use cutting and tearing techniques, markers, or old magazines to design your calendar. - Manual scanning techniques: Convert your design into a graphic birthday calendar using the riso printer. - Two-layer riso printing: Choose two colors (you can choose from 8 colors: red, fluorescent pink, aqua blue, medium blue, green, yellow, black, and teal!) and discover how layers and textures combine to create a surprising effect. No digital media or laptops needed; everything is handmade! This makes for a wonderful, relaxing workshop where you can get away from your head and focus on working with your hands. And you don't have to be an experienced illustrator to go home with a beautiful result.
