Curious how to create a unique and colorful birthday calendar using riso printing, illustration, and collage? Then join this creative and playful workshop at Studio Misprint in Utrecht. This is a fun way to get acquainted with riso printing and design your own personalized calendar. You don't need much experience, although a little riso knowledge is helpful. You don't need to prepare anything, but you're welcome to! You're also welcome to bring your own images, inspiration, and materials if you'd like. We'll be working entirely analogously with: • Collage or illustration: Work with markers or old magazines and cutting and tearing techniques to create a fun, illustrative calendar. • Analog scanning techniques: We'll use the riso printer's scanner to convert your design into a riso version. • Two layers of riso printing: Choose two bright colors (you can choose from 9 colors: red, fluorescent pink, aqua blue, medium blue, green, orange, yellow, black, and teal!). No digital media or laptops needed, everything is handmade! This makes for a wonderful, relaxing workshop where you can get away from it all and get hands-on. And you don't have to be an experienced illustrator to go home with a beautiful result. This workshop is suitable for everyone :) What do you get? ✨ A print run of two of your own unique birthday calendars, printed on high-quality Biotop paper with riso printing ✨ Snacks and personal guidance ✨ Personal guidance and step-by-step instructions on riso printing and collage ✨ Tons of materials to work with, from markers to old books to cut out ✨ Snacks and drinks, and a very cozy atmosphere in the center of Utrecht ✨ Background music playing from a cool old record player ;) The workshop lasts 5 hours, includes a lunch break (bring your own lunch!), and can sometimes run a little over the scheduled time. Would you prefer a private workshop with friends, colleagues, or all by yourself? That's also possible upon request! The regular price for the workshop is €85. Students (or those on a low income) receive a discount, paying €65. You can also pay with your U-pas.
